As a proud member of the San Gabriel Valley community for more than 130 years, we regularly reach outside the hospital walls with free community health counseling and screenings, classes and other resources.
We are also committed to providing educational opportunities; whether through community access to our Health Library, or supporting the next generation of physicians with our Graduate Medical Education program.
Community Benefit
In 2023 we provided over $161 million dollars in community benefit, and we are always looking for opportunities to expand our offerings.
Through education, early diagnostic screenings, emergency preparedness and more, our community outreach programs, and educational resources help improve the health of our community as a whole. Here are a few examples:
- 1,237 patients received additional hospital discharge support.
- 1,681 community members received complimentary flu shots.
- 1,232 people received free health screenings and counseling.
- 251 community members participated in a diabetes education series.
- 414 people participated in cancer support groups.
- 507 seniors received help to continue living safely in their homes.
