History of Fair Oaks Women’s Health

Our practice was founded in 1983 by two physicians, Dr. Warren Nagata and Dr. Marc Lebed. They became partners and soon became the best of friends. In 1989, Dr. Bryan Jick was hired by these two incredible physicians. 

After Dr. Nagata passed away in late 1989 and Dr. Lebed retired in 1995, Dr. Jick became the solo Ob/Gyn physician. On January 3, 2000, Dr. Jick opened up his own solo practice with just 5 employees. 

By 2009, the practice also included Dr. Jennie Chang and Dr. Jennifer Park — and that’s when Fair Oaks Women’s Health was formed.

In early 2012, Dr. Della Fong, a Board-Certified Ob/Gyn, joined Fair Oaks Women’s Health, and by December 2012, our practice had 3 physicians and 14 staff members. We then added about 1,200 square feet to our office, creating the “South Wing” area where Dr. Fong sees her patients.

Over the next few years, we added Dr. Michael Mitri and  Dr. Joanna Woo to our team, and in 2016 Fair Oaks Women’s Health expanded again, adding 2,000 square feet of space.

On April 1, 2023, Fair Oaks Women’s Health became part of the Huntington Health/Cedars-Sinai health care system. In the year that followed, Dr. Rong Fan and Dr. Austin McEvoy joined our team, bringing our count to 8 providers and over 35 staff members!

Fair Oaks Women’s Health continues to grow, and we could not have done this without our patients! You are the reason for the success of our group. Thank you for trusting us with your women’s health care, your prenatal care, and the delivery of your precious babies!

Our providers work closely with our amazing staff which includes RDMS medical sonographers, LVN’s, front and back office staff and an outstanding management team.

Location, Parking, Directions…the details you need to know! Our physicians are all proud to be active members of the Huntington Hospital medical staff. Our hospital is consistently ranked as one of the best hospitals in Los Angeles.

On-Site Lab Services

As a courtesy to our patients, we have our own on-site blood draw and specimen collection center. Fair Oaks Women’s Health provides this as a service to our patients. As of March 1, 2024, this service is provided by Huntington Hospital.

Insurance Plans

Fair Oaks Women’s Health accepts most forms of private health insurance, usually called PPO, sometimes EPO. We are In-Network for almost all PPO plans. We do not accept HMO, Managed Care or Medi-Cal.
