Pregnancy Services

Prenatal Testing

When your doctor’s office is closed, he or she may advise you to come in to have routine fetal monitoring or other tests performed. Our obstetrical emergency room is always open for these services.

Perinatal High Risk Unit ​

Our PHRU unit features twelve private rooms designed especially for high-risk pregnancies. We provide comprehensive care to women who are experiencing pre-term labor or other pregnancy-related complications.

Labor & Delivery Services

Obstetrical emergency department (OB-ED)

To provide the timeliest care for expectant mothers, our OB-ED is an emergency department area dedicated solely to obstetrical patients presenting to the hospital for care. Patients are evaluated by our skilled laborist physicians rather than the traditional nurse-led phone triage found in many hospitals.

24/7 laborists​

Our laborist program ensures 24 hour a day, 365 day a year board-certified OB/GYN physician support for you and your baby. When literally a matter of minutes can make a life-saving difference, our laborist program offers peace of mind for our families.

24/7 obstetrical anesthesia​

Our select group of board-certified anesthesiologists are proficient in all areas of modern techniques of obstetrical anesthesiology. They are also trained to deal with unexpected emergencies and medical complications. Anesthesiologists are located on the L&D floor and are available 24 hours a day.

In our maternity unit, we support you and your family as you welcome your new baby and prepare for your life together. 

Couplet Care

Following delivery, mother and baby share the same room for the duration of their hospital stay. With the help of your nurses, this couplet care supports new parents bonding and learning to care for their baby.

Baby Bonding Team

Our new Baby Bonding Team is comprised of registered nurses who will work with mother and baby to monitor your newborn, help with skin-to-skin bonding, and provide breastfeeding support.

In our Level-III NICU, we offer advanced care for babies born prematurely or with medical problems — the highest level of care available in the San Gabriel Valley.

Family Support Services

Huntington Baby offers a variety of support services for our families in the community. These services include the free Breastfeeding Support Group, Maternal Wellness support group, the Perinatal Health Education department help line, and specific services for families with a child in NICU or Pediatrics.
