It seemed like no matter what Isaac Reyes did, he couldn’t lose the extra weight, so he decided to have bariatric (weight-loss) surgery. David Lourié, MD, medical director of minimally invasive surgery and bariatric surgery at Huntington Hospital, performed what is known as gastric sleeve surgery.

“I was classified as morbidly obese,” says Isaac, “and now, after having weight-loss surgery and losing 170 pounds, I feel 1,000% better!”
